Church Buildings – Where we Remember who we are and Praise God

Passage: Psalm 135:1-4
Service Type:

As we prepare to move back into the refurbished church building we need to remember that it is not a temple, a house of God. It is our house, where we will live as we worship, and which we make available for community use. We are made to praise, and it this building we will seek pleasant praise using the technology, hymnody and musicality available to us. It will be different from how we currently worship, but that won't matter because our focus is on God, and on what He can do in the building. How easily we forget who we are as Christians! We will gather in the building to remember who we are: God's treasured possession.
