Jesus begins His last evening with the disciples before He is arrested by washing their feet. They have been arguing about who is greatest and are unwilling to take the role of servant and wash one another's feet. Jesus does it. He teaches that He is a servant, and wants them to be the same: serving Him and one another. Their service begins when they let Him serve them by washing their sins away.
