Our society needs words of truth and reason. The absence of these breaks down trust, relationships and mental health. Paul knows truth and reason are found in the God who raised Jesus, so he makes this known. Festus thinks this is madness, but Festus himself has abandoned truth and reason and this distorts his view of Paul. We need to recognise the difference for good our worldview makes, based on God, Jesus, resurrection, human dignity and absolute of right and wrong. The worldview which rejects God, resurrection, right and wrong, and human dignity ends up harming our mental health. We see how this plays out in funerals.
