We contemplate the great love of God shown in sending His Son - God's philanthropy in the Epiphany. As Wesley wrote: Unsearchable the love/ that hath the Saviour brought. A love seen in the planning, sending, giving, appearing and sacrifice of Jesus: the outworking of a heavenly plan of love, kindness, compassion and salvation. The love of the Father and of the Son in agreement.
