In the past our country had a broadly Christian consensus when it came to institutions and individuals deciding what was right or wrong. That sure foundation is gone. What has replaced it? Truth according to each individual. Isaiah shows us what a society that follows individualistic truth looks like. We use that to help understand our own society. Thankfully Isaiah doesn't leave us with a description of the problem. There is certain hope.
